Full Time brought its own particular demands — five performers playing soldiers, with roles that required both physical preparation and emotional commitment. Part of the job as First AD was making sure we carved out real rehearsal time so the cast could find the physicality of the characters, not just hit their marks. Equally important was checking in, reading the room, and keeping the balance between momentum on the floor and the space the cast needed to do their best work. A crew of fifteen, tight windows, and a set of different personalities to navigate — and every single person on that set played their part in making it work.

What made Full Time feel different was being able to see how far both Sonya Kanevskaya and I had come since Talkies — in craft, in instinct, in how we work together.
