Talkies is a proof of concept for a feature — shot in black and white, working with the same director and producer as Full Time. Three shoot days, different team dynamics, and a story demanding its own visual language. As First AD, keeping that tone intact while running the floor is a different kind of discipline.

Working alongside Sonya Kanevskaya is one of the most reliable things I’ve had on a set. We read each other well — when things get tough, we find our footing together rather than apart. That kind of trust is rare.
